Did you see the post where one member had a problem sliping the hitch over the 3pt hitch arms? He used a bolt w/ 2 nuts to spread the hitch. Simple, easy and cheap. For the $, its tough to beat.

Pretty cool job, although I didn't have that issue. My ball sockets fit in just fine. I probably would have used my hydraulic spreader though (I'm kind of a tool junkie).

Thats the method I used and it worked perfectly. Took about, oh, 50 seconds a side to complete. Quick Hitch is a time and labor saver for sure.

I was going to order on and looked at my implements first and none of them will work with the 26.5 inch inside length. It looks like I need at least 27 if not 27.5 for them to fit and I am not capable of splitting the quick hitch in the middle and adding a piece of square tubing like another poster suggested so I guess I will pass and do it the old fashioned way.

I had no problem inserting the ball sockets, they fit just fine. I figure the legs got tweaked in shipment so I put my port-a-power between the legs and voila! 27" exactly! No problem at all.

What is the adaptor everyone is talking about? I bought the Quick Hitch, but keep hearing about the adaptor. I have yet to receive my quick hitch
