On mine, that would usually tip the implement back too far, even with the top link adjusted short.

But on one implement, that idea did work using my adapter in post #7. It had the lower than standard pin height, about 13 inches. The adapter went upwards at about a 45 degree angle, then I put a pin and bushing in a close hole and through the hitch hook.

You should not use the hook on a movable part. It could come loose and damage something. If you use a link pin it.

Agreed, but in my case it could not come out of the hook without lifting the implement, which was held down by the lower hook latches.
