I use a lot of different pieces of equipment connected to my Quick Hitch. I also need to remove it any time I mount the Backhoe. The holes for the 3pt. linkage pins have really worn bad and have gotten very sloppy. I purchased a pair of 3/4" and 2 pair of 7/8" steel shaft collars for the repair. From my previous job at a machine shop I have gotten in the habit of saving a lot of old bearings as they have been replaced. Some times the complete bearing or just the inner or outer races. These old pieces are very useful with my shop press or as spacers when fabricating things. They also make great guides when using a hole saw during repairs. Using a good straight hitch pin and the shaft collar to locate the bearing before clamping the bearing in place. Then using the bearing as a guide to enlarge the worn hole. I then welded the shaft collar in place. This gives a larger surface for the pins and tightens every thing up nicely. An added bonus was how the bushings took out the gap on the top link adapter.
