Quick Hitch - Made My Own (crude) Set

I have looked at the Quick Hitchs and they all are nice and sure they work well. But I thought I'll make me some. I don't thank I made a copy of anyones
and can't be for resale because they well only fit my B7800.
I needed them a little longer and I wanted to back under pins, lift, then pull Fwd. I used two 5/8" X 3" flat stock and two 3/8" X 3" flat stock. See Pic.1 and the last Pic. the only thing left is to round off bottom and paint.
By the way they work great no more pulling my guts out been doing it 30 years.

Lee,

Not a bad job! Here are some photo's of our original design that we sold a few years ago. Very similar to your design, however we welded "EARS" to the top and bottom of the hitch to keep it from tilting rather then mill out the area for the lift arm.

The one issue you may have is with the fact that you have extended the length of the arm. Which may make your top link and pto shaft to short for some of your implements.

That is why I made it longer. My Woods mower pto shaft is just a little to long and I had to move the top link holder back on the mower to get the hight I wanted. The same with my rock rake.
The only thing I can see is that I gave up some lefting power, but that little tractor well left more then I should be lefting.

Thanks for the reply if anything goes wrong well let everyone know.

I like reading threads that have this type of "air" to them, which usually happens when business's are owned and operated by people who actually care about their product line. (and for the individuals, their single product).
I have a milling machine(or three) and will probably buy this product rather than build it, just to get the years of experience in the box it comes in.
