I have the Pats Easy Hitch on my TT45A and my son has been using it to blade snow with. Says the blade falls off on him as the springs are not holding the little lever in place over the pin or something.
Anyway, would there be anything I would like less about going with a fixed speedy type hitch? It is only a 40 hp tractor but I think I can use either the cat 2 or cat 1. I am thinking most of my implements right now are set for cat 2 so guess that is what I am thinking about getting. Anyone have a suggestion on which one to get if I chose to. I would think, generally speaking, it would be an easier hookup than the Pat's even though Pats is much easier than the regular 3 point. Thanks.

This doesn't answer your question but will save you some money: the springs broke on my PEC too and I just used zip (cable) ties to hold the levers down.

Hmm...I can't say that has ever been a problem with any of the Pat's hitches that have been used on the 22HP (BX2200), 36HP (L3650), 52HP (L5240), and 70HP (M7040) that have had the Pat's installed around here. All of them have had blades. At least one HD blade for the M7040.

The lever/spring is designed to stay in place even without the spring in my experience. That is not to say it can't happen. First, I'd recommend calling Greenwell Mfg. and seeing what they can do. Their customer service is excellent.
