Guys,
I am wanting to convert my FEL to the qucik attach option. Can someone post pictures of there bucket and FEL to get ideas. Has anyone converted one over with a welding shop doing the modification?

Thanks

It might help to tell us what tractor you're looking to convert so we can offer more specific info. Also are you converting to Quick attach or Skid Steer Quick attach?

Medicshawn, its going on a Kubota L 3130.

J_J, will this work on the Kubota? It looks like it was built for a Deere. If this would work on the Kubota, all I would have to do is modify my bucket.;)

If I remember right, they said call about other tractors.

They do not know if it will fit a Kubota. They have never tried. I may be better of modifying the loader.

I have the Kubota version on mine works great. ATI also makes a version. The loader portion is easy it's the bucket portion which can be a challenge. You can cut off your old brackets and weld on a universal plate. You could also have someone weld on your bucket. I seem to remember people talking about how much work it was to remove the old brackets from your bucket that they are pretty stout. Your other option is to look at buying a new bucket with the SS QA already installed. You may also be able to find a used skid steer bucket which might work and sell your old bucket.

I think you can get the bucket portion (the weld on plate)for cheaper on ebay. For not much more you could be pretty close to buying a new bucket check out Markham welding, Make sure to factor in the expense and time of the welder.

Why not go to your Kubota dealer. It is quite likely he has a good used quick attach bucket that you can do a trade on and get the Kubota QA adapter. I doubt that it will cost much more than you will end up spending anyway. This way it can all be done in a day or 2 and you know it will fit and work properly.

This is assuming that you have the LA723 loader, I am not sure that there is a Kubota QA adapter for the LA513. In the latter case a bucket swap still might be the smarter deal.

I never thought about that. Good idea. I do have the LA723 loader. I doubt they will have one but its worth a try.

Thanks.

Yes, try hard to get a Kubota one. One that is made unspecifically for your loader includes dimensional compromises to fit others. These tend to cause the bucket to be shifted further forward from the normal pivot points than one designed for the loader. This will limit the forces you can apply due to the loss in leverage.
