I recently purchased an new 3540 w/loader. I plan on removing the loader from time to time to work in places too tight for the loader. Seems easy enough to remove, but I am looking for some hydraulic dust plugs and caps for the 4 hoses that must be disconnected. The female coupler remains with the tractor and without a dust plug would soon be filled with dust and trash. Does anyone know the size of these couplings? The rear remotes are 1", but the ones on the loader are smaller.

I have a 1538 and the couplings are 1/4" "ag" style. Supply House didn't have the caps but this place has them. Frontpage | Trausch Dynamics

Btw coupling will have a brand and part number stamped/laser etched into the side. Enter that info into a google search or call the company linked above.

How about for being down and dirty, so to speak, you just cover them with a generous mount of aluminum foil.

I don't remove my loader, but for the rear valves (QCs) I like the jumper hoses approach so I don't accidentally deadhead if something moves the valve lever with nothing connected.
