I recently saw a TC35 on a dealer's lot and after reading a few posts here, I have a few questions for TC35/40/45 owners/shoppers. Does the TC35 (not the TC35D)come with the cupholder on the right fender and the toolbox on the left, or is this an option? I have seen a few posts regarding a combination toolbox/cupholder for the left(?) fender - what is this (pictures?) and is this standard or an option? Did anyone opt for the 7x16 front and 13.6x24 rear tires instead of the 8x16 and 14.9x24 tires? Any pictures of these tires on the tractor? Also, I was reading a past post about problems(?) with the 12/12 gear transmission - what problems occurred and have they been resolved? Any owners of a TC35 dissatisfied with the tractor in any way? Any and all replies would be greatly appreciated.

I have had my TC 35 since the middle of April...80 hours later, I love it. After using older tractors for years this one is a dream. The only problem I've had is the left rear tire picking up a large tree limb I had cut and jamming it between the tire and fender...made a nice crack on the edge of the fender -- this made for a nice conversation with my friend who was helping me move the trees around...he pointed out several times that the metal fenders on his Kubota probably would not have cracked like mine. I have had no problems with the transmission so far, and the shuttle shift is really nice (no hydrostat comments please). Like everyone else will say, it all depends on what you're comfortable with.
As far as the tires, I've got the 8x16 / 14.9x24 R1's and actually wish the fronts were wider. The loader on this tractor is amazing and will easily lift more than enough to let the front tires make nice ruts everywhere if the ground is soft. In fact, I've yet to find something heavy enough to hang on the rear end of this thing to counter-balance the loader completely.
I've used many tractors over the years, in a variety of applications and this one is my favorite. My only wish is that the seat back would recline like the L series Kubota's. Hope this helps.

You can buy an aftermarket seat that reclines. If you havent filled your rear tires, that would add about 500lbs.

Now you have me baffled. Recline?...for naps in the shade? I know I may be exposing myself to some reverse ridicule here, but what in the world would you do with a reclining seat on a tractor? I'm serious. I can't think of a single use.

Max,
When I purchased in April cupholder and toolbox were options for the 35, standard on 35D. There's a photo of cupholder on post I did a few weeks back. It has room for two different size containers (one insulated?) and is not otherwise in the way but it's no McChalkey cupholder (which is discussed at great length elsewhere in this forum under Attachments perhaps). Toolbox has been surprisingly useful for keeping shear bolts, keys to gate, even tools.

When mowing a large field for 4 or 5 hours straight, the reclining seat would be nice. The L3410 I considered at the time I bought the TC35 had the reclining seat...just thought it was a nice touch.

Okay, now I get it. You mean an adjustable backrest. I can see the use there. Thanks for responding.
