Sorry, Carl - I missed this post. Your bucket is a 24 cuft bucket (larger than PT's LM bucket and stronger) so half a load of wet clay would probably exceed the 1200 lb lift capacity especially when you add in the weight of the bucket. The wide width is nice for many things and the large volume is great for things like firewood (mine has gotten a lot of use in that mode). Just have to not fill it so full of the very heavy stuff. I wish the 1850 had better lift capacity but your example exceeds the stated capacity so your PT may be functioning properly.
