Many times I have received mail with Worcester spelled Worchester, even after I have spelled it for the sender. Tomorrow night I am driving into Cambridge, where I will park my car in Harvard Yard.

Pee Body? I bet you put an "H" in Amherst. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif I did my time in Mass., and it seemed that everytime I mentioned a name of a town, a local would give me some odd proninciation as a correction. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

My sister-in-law grew up and still lives near Amherst, and I lived near Amherst for a while, and everytime I mentioned Amherst, she would say "AMERST, it's AMERST" as if I was one of her kids. It really annoyed her when I put the the "H" in Amherst. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif She's also my source for Wooster & Pibiddy. So, if Pibiddy is wrong, just blame the folks in Western Mass.

How about Billerica too.. When I first moved to the NE from PA and was looking for Wuster on the map I could not find it, then I was asking for directions one day and I was looking for Billerica the person helping me had no idea where I was trying to go, even though I was in the next town!!
