My brother-in-law has the new 43 HP L-Series Kubota (4330 I think) with a skid-steer-type bucket and a Woods backhoe. Will these attach to an L 3130?
I am thinking that if he wants me to help him with logging, I might want to borrow his stuff instead of buying my own. We were talking about my buying different implements than he has and we will get twice as much stuff with 1/2 the investment. He wants me to buy a chipper, but I am thinking that I can get a bunch of rentals for what a chipper costs.
Am I crazy?

Once installed, the subframe for the backhoe usually stays put on the tractor - so you could maybe get just a subframe for your tractor and then it would fit. You'd still need hydraulic connections unless the backhoe has its own pump and reservoir. Probably less trouble to just swap tractors for doing your backhoe jobs. Similar story for the front end implements - if you get a loader with the same attach bucket feature, then buckets, pallet forks, bale spears etc. would swap. On the chipper question, I tend to agree with you that a rental once in a while is more economical than owning your own, unless you are in the brush clearing business.
