Question: Mowing a slope 2305 & 2720

I currently have a 2006 2305 with a 62C MMM. I'm considering upgrading to a 2011 Used 2720 with a 62D MMM. My question is regarding a slope I mow. I use the 2305 to mow a couple of places on my 5 acres and the a 66" ZT Exmark for the rest. The one area I need the 2305 for is to mow a ditch in front of the house. The slope is what I consider steep and I've always been impressed that the 2305 will mow it with no issues. I've had 5 ZT mowers and none of them can do it because of the angle and loss of hydraulic feed. Is a 2720 going to tip easier than a 2305 due to the extra height?

It could be, whether it is safe to try depends on the tilt angle. Can you drive in and out of the ditch? That is what I do on steep ditches. The 2720 with more ground clearance might be able to handle this method better than the 2305.

The 2720 will tip easier yes. 2305 is lower to the ground and has lower cg. Take loaders off while mowing.

I have a 2520 and it seems more nimble than larger tractors. But, on any slopes I always have something attached to the rear such as a rear blade. Without such, it feels unstable, even with the liquid in the tires. I never mow with it. For mowing, I have an X749. It is by far the best mowing machine I have used on my steep slopes.

I went from a 2305 to a 2720. The 2305 would mow the ditch just fine, but I had to sit on the up-hill fender. I can't do that with the 2720 so the edge of the ditch doesn't get mowed. I can still mow the center of the ditch where it is flat.

I've now changed to a 2025 possible purchase. The 2720 I was looking at sold within the first hour of being for sale, so I missed it. My dealer has a bare 2014 2025 trade in with 7 hours and will install a new H130 loader 49" bucket and a new 62D belly mower and sell the package for $18K. Seems like a decent deal. Will I find any differences with regards to the slope mowing with the 2025?
