Question for those with Telescopic Stabilizers

I just converted my L3301 to telescopic stabilizers. Honest question, does anyone actually use the cotter pins for the bottom of the adjustment pins? They're a bear to get to and I'm not sure what it would take for the adjustment pins to walk that far up to begin with.

Anyone have a pin work loose?

Mine doesn't have any pins for the adjustment pins. Gravity keeps them in quite nicely. As well as the chain keeps them from getting away.

Yeah, they really seem like something the lawyers added, rather than an engineer, because the one time in a billion the thing slips loose and damages something they'll be able to point to it and say "Improper use".

Yeah even if one pin "popped out" somehow, the implement still can't move side to side much because the link that still has a pin in it cannot be compressed or extended. It pretty well stays right where it is. But I have never had one pop out.

Never lost one and are easy to work with.

That's what mine have as well. It is surprising how one always (almost anyway) finds a properly aligned hole to drop the pin into when stabilizing the attachment. I can always get within 1/4 inch of dead tight. Neat.

If I lost one of mine and couldn't find a replacement quickly, I would get the properly sized one of these for less than a buck.

Over 1000 hours on two different tractors doing a bunch of brush cutting with out the safety pins with no issues.

My 2016 Branson has drop-in pins, never falls out.
