Remember back in 1987 when the U.S. banned the sale of three wheelers?

My question is this: For how long did the manufacturers sale off their inventory in Canada? I would like to know if there are any 87 or 88 models floating around in another country. Just curious.

There still are 3 wheelers around. I see big reds a fair bit, but theyre getting pretty rare. A buddy of mine in alberta just bought a Yamaha Moto 3. Its cool when you see them.

Personally i think its hard to beat a 3 wheeler in the woods, they were great, much more nimble than my 4 wheeler.

If it wasnt for US lawyers they might still be available. The death trap image was really overblown, ive had my 450 honda 4wheeler on its roof more times than any 3 wheeler. 3 wheelers did require drivers to actually drive, not just be along for the ride. But if it did go bad, they were much lighter than an equivalent 4 wheeler especially when compared to todays monsters.
