Question for 2606 or 2607 Owners (PTO Engagement Lever)

I looked at one last week and one concern I have is the PTO engagement lever seems like it sits too low and you have to "reach down" to grab hold of it. Seems like it needs to be about 6-8 inches taller/longer so it would be more easily grasped. Any 2607 owners have any input on this?

Generally one consideration on levers for all manufacturers is the orientation of the lever knob in multiple positions in relation to other lever knobs and fixed objects (such as fenders or seat) to avoid pinch points.
