I'd like to add rear remotes to my 1533 without going the dealer route ($$). I've read a couple of great posts here about tying into the loader valve to 3pt hydraulic connection but the one piece of the puzzle I'm missing is the location of the return plug. I've read it's on the RHS of the transmission case, but I'm not sure where to look or what I should be looking for. Anyone have a picture or a good description of what I should be looking for?

On my 1528 the return plug was the same as the loader - ie behind the seat.

You should be able to re-use that.

Had a look this morning. Just ahead of the transmission fill tube and almost on top of where the lift arms would be internally connected, is a little U shaped rubber tube/hose. It's sealed at one end (well, supposed to be, it's been abraded at the tip, leaving it open) and clamped on at the tractor end. I wonder if that's the plug that was mentioned in the other posts? Or, should I keep looking?

Apparently, that little rubber pipe is a case vent. So I went looking once again. I see two possible options. Pic 1 shows what might be a case plug that I could use for a return. It's just below the spot where the factory aux hydraulics would connect. The other option shown in pic 2 is a hard line from the bottom of the FEL valve to a connector on the bottom of the case.

Is that the right plug in pic 1 or am I still off track? What of the hard line in pic 2 .. viable option or not?
