I will be plumbing a PB circuit for a backhoe I recently ran across for my TC40D. Looks like there are 2 options:

1) Use the PB off my FEL control and the sump return location in the side of the tractor case somewhere on the right side (sounds like this disables the 3-point and the rear remotes)

or

2) Use an adapter end plate that replaces the end plate on the rear remote manifold stack (I think Woods makes one)......a little cleaner and easier to use solution IMO.

Here is my question: Will option #2 provide as high of a flow rate as option #1? The hydraulic lines are larger in diameter from the FEL and front diverter valve manifold than they are from the rear remote manifold stack......not sure if flow rates are the same everywhere in the hydraulic circuit (and velocities are just higher in smaller diameter lines) or if flow rates are slightly lower to the rear remotes as compared to the FEL?

Since your tractor has open center hydraulics, the flow is the same everywhere in the circuit and as you figured, the velocity will be higher in smaller diameter lines.

The pump is going to shove the fluid through all fittings and hoses at a certain GPM.

Those fittings or hoses with smaller diameter will have a higher velocity.

I doubt that you will see a difference.

If your pump is pumping 5 GPM through the hyd system, based on the pumps cu in displacement and engine rpm, you should see 5 GPM at the last hose fitting.

If you want some more knowledge/satisfaction, have your dealer do a flow and pressure test before and after installation of new parts.

If you use the flow and pressure test, you will know if the pump is preforming as advertised. For instance, if the pump is rated at say 10 GPM, and on it's best day it only produces 8.5 GPM, then you know the pump is perhaps bypassing some fluid.

Although you can probably use the pump to about 75% of rated GPM's.

If your BH valve has PB, you will still have 3pt, but you really can't use it with the BH installed..
