I can't say the dealer name as they are not a sponsor here so this may get tricky. I'm curious as to the legitimacy of online advertised package deals from a certain place. The price is unbelievable. Tractor w/loader, trailer, tiller, bush hog - all for less than the msrp of the tractor alone. Is this legit? Scam? Are there a ton of hidden fees and prices that aren't listed just to sucker you in? I'm not currently in the market for another tractor but in a few years I will be, and the shown pricing is good enough that I'd drive 1500 miles to go pick it up. Anyone know what I'm referencing?

I don't know about the dealer, BUT the onus is on the buyer to do his research and check out a deal verrrry c a r e f u l l y before putting his hard earned pennies on the line.

By all means - - LET THE BUYER BEWARE. If it sounds too good to be true - it probably is.

I have no idea what dealer you are talking about but if its 1500 miles from you - gonna be a tad difficult to get service from the selling dealership.

Tractors have such a high resale value that I'd guess it was a well used or worn out model. Maybe a rental or has been used commercially. You didn't mention "new" or "used" or the number of hours on the machine.

Could it be an eBay or Craigslist posting?

Since you're not in the market it would not seem to be likely that the tractor package would be available in a few years.

If you give more details, like model, year, price, name brand of implements, and anything else in the listing then maybe someone could find it and give an informed opinion.

I don't think there would be any trouble listing the dealership ad on here. The only problem is that another TBN member may jump on it!!!!!!!!!!!

Every package that I have seen, the trailer is either overloaded or at the max load with the tractor. I would look closely at the trailer.
If it is a Craigslist or Ebay deal, I wouldn't trust it to be accurate or even to exist.

If it is a dealer listing AND the right price, then he could be getting some incentives from the manufacturer to close out a model. MSRP can be discounted 15% in most cases for a normal price so if you are looking at a high dollar (over $30K) then it may be possible for the dealer to put those items on for cost and still make money, so I wouldn't discount it as being a scam. A 3500# light duty Trailer can be had for $1500, bush hog (light duty) for $800, and tiller for about the same price. So altogether about $3600 price and dealer cost would be much less, so it could be legit.

Please, after building all this curiosity, link the ad you saw? I don't think that would inappropriate.

I priced the same BX 2370 package from my local dealer and he wanted $16000 cash for the same package. For the $1200 difference I will stay with my local dealer. He would be the one I would go back to for repairs anyway.

I've seen those package deals, also. Cheapo Chinese attachments and an even cheaper trailer. Tempting, though...

Yes, it was at Snead. MSRP on a L3901HST is at $26k or higher. I guess I didn't think about implement brands. A 5' tiller and bush hog along with 18' dual axle trailer along with the tractor for $24k seems too good to be true. A confirmation via e-mail would help in finding out the brands of implements. The trailer manufacturer can be read on the side of it and research done on that.

I noticed this in their ad: Applicable sales tax, fees, or insurance are not included in price... it's the fees part that might be a reality check? Hard to tell about the trailers- their website seems to be under development right now- no details.
