In addition to what Bird said...
Don't write of the loader on the
B3030 as a lightweight. I will attach a picture of my loader lifting 6 wet pressure treated 16' 6x6s. I don't know what they weigh each, but judging from how heavy they feel when lifting one end, I would not doubt that they may be 200 lbs each. And they were out on the clamp on forks beyond the front of the bucket.
I had no problem lifting them with the LA402 loader on my
B2910. I have loaded rear tires, but did not have the extra ballast on the back I normally would. Anyway, I had things balanced and did not lift a rear wheel, until I parked the tractor and got off. My weight made a difference, and the rear wheel lifted as I put my foot on the ground.
It was not an issue, since as soon as the end of the wood touched the ground, everything stopped moving.
I had my wife take this picture afterwards. By shifting the load slightly to the side, I could safely control the amount of rear wheel lift.
But the point really is, that along with the LA403 loader probably being able to lift more than it is rated for, putting on a different loader that is too big for the tractor may also, along with like Bird said with respect to possible damage to the tractor, may increase the potential for one to get into trouble due to lifting the rear end off the ground. This could be a problem both during the intial lift, and also during transport, since the B series Kubota tractors are rather light.
If you are worried about the lift capability of the LA403, you might be better off considering a heavier tractor, like the L series.
