Hi I'm thinking about buying a dirt scoop, don't have a FEL, can't afford it right now /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif, my question is will a 2610 handle a 30" scoop and also a 72" yard rake. if anybody close to north Alabama have used ones they would like to sell at a reasonable, please PM me with a price and location. Thanks Robert

I would say your tractor could handle those implements.
I have a 1401 that I used with a 24" scoop that worked good. I want to sell it too, but I'm a little far from your location.

My 2310 handles a 30" dirt scoop without a problem. I don't have a landscape rake

I think a 36" would work also. Might need 200lbs or so on the front but you will need some weight up there anyway. The tractor will handel the 6' rake.

I use a 30" scoop on my 2210 with no problem. I've got about 160# on the front bumper. Moved about 20 tons of gravel a while back with no problem. It did take a little getting used to at first. I had to go in low and raise the scoop as I moved in. Got it nice and full almost every time. Not sure about the rake, but I would think it could handle it with no problem. Good luck!

Just looked back to a previous post, looks like it was 25 tons of gravel moved in 2 hours using the scoop! Not bad for a little 30" scoop. Here is a link to the thread if you are interested in the info there.

My 1700 handled a 30" scoop fine.. once I added about 180# of front weight to it.

Thanks I thought it would, but I knew someone on here would know for sure. I do have to get some weight for the front, I don't have any right now, anybody have some home made weight holder or weight box pictures they could post. Thanks again Robert

I don't have any good pics.. but what I did was take two pieces of big pipe.. 4" ok.. but 6" better.. metal prefered.. pvc ok. And then I used threaded rod, nuts and washers and bolted the pipes together one on top of the other, and then left mounting studs that mounted to my 1700's bumper.. Filled with some scrap rebar and then concrete. Made a hefty brush bumper too. I got rid of the bumper years ago when i got a heavier tractor to tote the scoop.
