My engine on my tractor is a Kohler 20 hp twin. I've been trying to figure out why my tractor has no power with I engage the PTO. The deck spins free, a new PTO clutch just installed but still labors when I start PTO. I replaced the sparkplugs the other day and that didn't help but when I pulled them tonight one plug isn't firing. My question is does this engine have 1 coil for both plugs or 2 seperate ones? I'm thinking if it has 2 then I need to replace 1 to get spark at that plug. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like a coil problem. I believe it has 2 coils. If you have to replace one, replace both!!

The twin Kohlers have a electronic ignition module with both plug wires coming out of it. Let me know for sure which engine you have and I post the troubleshooting info for you.

Tractor fixed now. Replaced one coil (has 2 seperate ones) and then found out 1 of my rocker stud bolts broke. Fixed that and now she runs like a champ again. Thanks to all for the help.
