Question #2 Chaffing

Greetings again, maintenance day.

LS 3033- The hydo lines from the lever has chaffing material attached a few feet forward of the valve controller. And for good reason as the chaffing material has rubbed the paint off the hood cover. I tried zip tying them away from the hood but the bucket arm that I zip tied them to snapped the zips when in operation. Anyone have a better mouse trap?

Well I had the same issue on my brand new LL1100 loader on my MT125. While it didn't get the paint it was going too. This may be a weird explaination but the hoses are like "flexible steel lines". I cut off the the wire/cable tie and twisted the lines away from touching the hood or the cylinder in that area. In this way I kind of "bent" the lines away and changed the area they worked in. Then I rebunched the hoses in this new position and put a new zip tie there. Solved that problem for me and my machine has been working. Now another thought as I'm not exactly sure the configuration of your LS 3033 but on my back hoe I had hoses that would rub the boom when the hoe moved and flexed. I loosened the fittings just a little so I could turn them and repositioned then away from anything that they could touch solved the problem by putting the "right" twist in the hose. Now back to your loader, If your lines terminated at a fixed point you could loosen them and add a twist to keep them away from things. This is how I handled this situation and I'm sorry your didn't get to this before the paint was damaged. But I hope it helps. Good luck.
