quest re: scoop for craftsman YT4000

Hi.
I see that craftsman offers a scoop. Anyone know if it can handle loam? has to be raised manually, which seems like it would be really hard to do.
I have less than am acre, but have to spread some loam/move around some soul. Shoveling it is a P.I.T.A.!
I also see johnny bucket has one, but only 7 in ground clearance! Figure arty least 12in.

I have a YT4000. It's been a great lawn mower for 10 years now. That said, I feel almost fortunate that the trans has held up. Trying to engage the ground? No, no. That wouldn't seem prudent. These machines were never intended for ground engagement.
