Just because it's always fun to critique someone's welds here's mine. Whatcha think will it come flying apart?

Little by little closing everything up. Got the back panel welded in. Also filled in alot of cracks with spray foam. Also got weather stripping around a couple windows. More to seal up tomorrow.

Little by little it's closing up. Got the side gaps all welded in. Still need to enclose the bottom....

Got to drive it in high speed today. It's loud. It's 70 degrees outside and about 120 inside the cab. With the windows open and while moving it's probably 80-90 degrees. It's definitely gonna be a 40 degrees and lower cab unless I'm using it for 10 minutes. Or I get a cab AC.

Cabbed tractors without AC are terrible. My Massey 20C has a cab and no AC. I generally run with the doors off in the summer and the cab fan blowing on me. I would recommend a cab fan, it helps defrost/defog the windows in the winter, and keeps you cooler in the summer.

That's actually a great Idea. All the windows and doors on this thing come off quickly. I could just remove all of them in the summer. Thanks.

My driver side door was very warped. I tried a few times to bend it back but the top front of it had a decent gap. So I made my own "draw latch". It was actually raining today and I didn't feel any water on me or see any drips.

FOR $50 INTO THIS CAB PROJECT I CALL IT A WIN.

I still have to add backup cameras and ext/interior lights, but as of now this is how it sits for a bit.

cool project, thanks for sharing!
Thank you. I like to make things fit on things they don't belong on. For instance here's a 2016 F150 front bumper on a 2nd gen dodge. Who knows I might be back grafting something that doesn't belong on another tractor in the future.

So that's why your welds look so good!

Thank you. I try to learn more and get better everytime I weld.

That said my welding style has been described as "Strokes". Sometimes my welds look like strokes of genius, sometimes they look like I was actually having a stroke. Hahaha it is what it is.

Had a second to get some hazard light relocation brackets cut out on the table. Still need to take them back apart and paint them black.

Got the outside light bars mounted and wired up to quick release if I ever take the cab back off. Also painted the cap massey grey.

So my wife is the main drive behind this. She kept saying. "The tractors too cold in the winter, we need a cab.". So I took a free cab and made it work. Then I showed her it and she said "that's hideous, why would you put that on there???". So you know what? I'm putting a heater in there and hiding the switch and not telling her about it.. hahaha you wanna complain about free stuff, fine, it'll be my heater then. Weird that the windows are always fogged for you.🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️🤷
