Just explain to your wife that the classic lines of the old cab bring about an elegance lacking in modern machinery. The pairing of the cab to the much newer Massey gives the little red tractor a timeless silhouette.

Say it with enough conviction and you'll never hear another peep about it. :ROFLMAO:

Ok, so I get that you will be warm in winter. Do you use this machine in summer?

When I mow on our Missy, when she is running at near 2500 RPM on an 80+ day, open cab, I am getting pretty warm. Like in pretty dang hot!

How will u keep the cab from frying your bunns?

Curious minds want to know.

I have a funky roof we made out of PVC pipe to keep the sun off this old man. But I can't imagine being in a cab unless it has AC doing the mowing.

We use this one year round in the un-farmed areas of the property. (It can get 120 degrees in the summer and -20 to -30 degrees in the winter) Yardwork, corral blading, feeding hay, getting pallets unloaded, smaller dirt work projects. As @Sportsman762 had suggested to just take the front doors off. I will do that and I will also remove all the windows. Everything is held on by barrel hinges and draw latches so it might take 5 mins to take them all off. Putting them back on will take 2 people and an hr or 2. But once off it'll just be a frame and roof left.

Overengineered beverage holder. Used a plasma table, a giant 18" x 13ft lathe from the 1870s and a mini lathe to make cup holders.

Well it's been about a month and it's been 40s to 60s everyday and raining. It's rained more this past month than it has all year. Don't have a heater in there yet, but it's stayed about 70 degrees in there from the engine, windows/sun, and moving mechanical parts. I'll tell you what other than some as&%@le always farting in the Cab and it not having anywhere to go it's been nice, warm, and dry in there. This thing has cost me about $40-50 bucks and some work, but in the words of Cal Norton Jr. "I know I got this on a technicality, but if you try to take it from me. I'm gonna sock you right in the mouth". I'll never go back to open cab. Even if I have to build it myself. 10/10 would do again.
