Given that the USD is stronger now than in many years vs the Euro, and given that BCS equipment does not appear to have dropped in cost over the last year to match the exchange rates, do you see any drop in BCS cost in the near future?

Are the last two (BCSSHOP & walkbehindtractorman) still with us? Have not seen a post from either in a long time...

I would doubt you'll see any price decrease. Until Grillo, BCS had a monopoly for a decade or so after the gravely units stopped. People who aren't comfortable with the "repair it yourself" aspect of Grillo, will turn to BCS. Not to mention, a lot of fleet purchases of BCSs in urban cities for snow removal. Take a look at NYC during a snowstorm, BCS units are everywhere. My urban office building just sold their 1990s Deere 790, and bought 7 BCS tractors. Finally, BCS has a corporate headquarters, with all the overhead associated with that.

Personally I find BCS over priced.

I feel that the 107d at $2800 is a good price point. You could pickup a kubota BX 1870 for $8500, so the $5400 for a BCS diesel seems a little steep. $8500

The price of a BCS 715 in the 70's and 80's was $2500. Considering inflation, the comparable model (722) is a fair bit less expensive now versus then. When the powersafe clutch came out 5 years ago, they were supposed to cost 750 more than the old 853. BCS America somehow was able to price them the same as the 853. I do not see the price of the BCS units coming down any time soon. But, I am not a BCS dealer, so don't go by what I say. They might drop tomorrow... but they might also go up.

I am a farmer, so i know more than most that prices always go up fast and come back down slowly. The wholesale price of milk goes up to the farmer, and the stores have their prices adjusted almost instantly. The price drops, and the stores take weeks or months to drop their prices.

I also don't see pricing decreasing as a result of the improving exchange rate. On the other hand many models have gone up very little in the last three years. BCS's COGS has likely gone up a bit as the purchase price of engines keep going up. But since the COGS is only about 1/2 or less of the machine costs none of the other costs have gone down (shipping, advertising, distribution, import duties, sales commissions, etc. I expect BCS to continue to run $300 off promotion on the professional models and $200 off the smaller tractors nearly year round for the larger dealers. The best deal has been the 10% off tractors and most BCS built attachments they run from Oct 1 to Dec 31st for the past three years. Saving over $500 off MSRP of the 749 or 853 tractor with tiller and rotary plow has been a good incentive.
