I have had a big oak stump in my front yard that I have had to mow around for years, well today I decided to dig it up. It took a few hours and a DEEP hole but I got it out. Had to use the big Massey to help get it out of the hole. The stump is as big as the max and so heavy the masseys' loader wouldn't lift it either!!!

Now where to find a few thousand pounds of dirt to fill in and level up? :)

Actually filled in nicely with the dirt I removed. Leveled it and drove over it several times and it looks good.....now. Supposed to rain tomorrow and I'm sure that will change.
Got plenty of dirt in the back 40 once it sinks down:D

That stump is about as big as the tractor! I've read great things about the Max series and it sure looks like they were true. We just took about an elm stump that was half that size with my new 1533 and it took a lot of digging and a combination pushing and lifting with the FEL, but it finally came out.

Thanks for sharing! Love to see other people's projects.

I did one bigger than that with my Max 22. Took a while and had to use the F150 to drag it away but the little 22 did a great job.

If the stump is not in a critical postion, like where a driveway or building is going, I'll get the stump lose in the hole and dig the hole deeper and simple bury it where it was.

Pics or it didn't happen:D:D:D
Just kidding. I think these "little" tractors are capable of big jobs it just may take a little longer and some planning but they can do them. I have been impressed so far.

That's a pretty good idea. I had thought of just burning it, but it was just a little to close to the house and I had guy at work that did one and it burned for almost 2 weeks! Plus no tractor seat time:)

I've stumps that size, I'll eventually take them out once they rots down some like yours. NH soil has a lot of fight to it. I have an 18,000 Lb Excavator and I still leave stumps like that in the ground unless I they are in the way.
