Hi,

I've had a CC (1042?) with a 42" deck for a few years. It's the one with the short lived timing belt deck. For the most part it's prettty good.

But, the gas opening on the side is quite the PITA. I have a few other small power items and even a toro/wheelhorse and they have nice gas caps on top of the machine as only makes sense. Why CC went to this design is beyond me -- probably cost.

Does anyone have a good reasonably priced method for fueling these things? I've juggled gas cans + funnels, and tried a couple of cheap transfer pumps -- not really happy with either option.

I saw a bottom tube gas can at Northern Tool, but it didn't seem to be that well made. They were also selling replacement tubes for it hmmm...

Appreciate any thoughts.

Thanks,

hj

Like somebody else asked you on the other board, pictures would help a lot. I've never seen a machine that would be difficult to fuel.
