I have a push blade on my 140 garden tractor that I use for plowing snow. I can't get the blade to float. When I place it in a position and there is a bump, the plow wants to dig in. I have tried several time to hold one or both levers forward for several seconds with no luck. It seems to be floating because the front tires don't lift off the ground but while moving forward the blade starts to dig again lifting the front end.

Try lowering your plow shoes, if the cutting edge is on the ground it will dig in even in float, mine did. The inner lever is the one that should have the float position.

I think Batty is right. So you are saying it floats OK except when there is a bump right?
