They use the same frame and chassis for the 25, 30 and 40hp units in that series.
Being that it's a 25hp unit, there is a lot of unused space under the hood
With this one being a hydrostatic, I keep catching myself going for the clutch each time I want to change directions
That darn muscle memory keeps getting me.
You are right about muscle memory. 40 some years wears a deep groove ,so I won't use hydro on my hills as I would default to geared reflexes as soon as trouble hits.

So far this summer I've put about 18hrs on it. Absolutely love how much it's saved me in work load.
Went out this morning and used it to clear out the briers and saplings along the road to get a view of the cow pasture across the street.
I ordered a set of titan pallet forks for it and put them to use today.
I tossed a chain through the briers around the saplings. The tugged it tight with the tractor so I could reach the saplings with the chain saw.
Then dragged the mess out into the yard where I could scoop up the mess with the forks
That sure saved me a lot of labor.
I'm about halfway down the line. But petered out around 11:30 today. Temps are hovering at 99° currently.
