Bob, I think we both forgot we were talking about spelling; look at the first letter of each word./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Bob:
you are probably quite aware of what it means but have forgotten as you have been used to racier versions for other topics!!

...What keeps the fuel in your home heating tank from gelling up?

Darned if I know. I presume they do the same as the diesel truck stops. They just change the blend as the season changes. The problem is, the tank sits unused the entire summer.. which makes me think it might be a tad stale by the time cold weather comes around. The furnace doesn't seem to mind, but the tractor might. I dunno.

The big funnel idea isn't bad either!! For those with three hands.

Don't need three hands...the funnel's big enough that it sits in the tank nice and secure. Can pour the fuel with both hands with about a 7"diameter opening. Doesn't splash or spill.

The funnel approach works for me as well. The two fuel cans I have also have the flexible spout, so I can bend them so I know where the fuel will 'land'. Just have to listen carefully as the tank fills so you don't pour more fuel in the funnel than the tank can contain.
