Pump suggestion for burns ?

I think you need the wind to make the fire burn and go in one direction. No wind and the fire can just smolder and not have a good burn.

One other alternative I may not have mentioned is a PTO generator running an electric pump. Any specific electric pump models come to mind which would do the job (pressure/volume) roughly as well as the gasoline ones suggested ?

We have a F&W 2 HP, 230 volt, electric pump, M# SPJ20B1, which we use for a sprinkler system. Maximum pressure is 50 PSI. While installing the sprinkler, we put a 1/1/2" line at 3 corners of our house for any purpose needed, as well as fire protection.

The other day, my son needed a lot of water about 1/4 mile down the road from me. We put a 1000 gal tank on the trailer, filled it with with a 1" line run from 2 corners of the house. We filled it in 17 minutes with this pump. Dumped it in 11 minutes by gravity. Made some round trips in 37 minutes.

I am not saying this is a fire fighting pump, but will sure be caught trying, if ever needed.
