C'mon bunyip, you're better than that Mate... a puggle is a baby/juvenile monotreme. Monotremes are the platypus and the four species of echidna.
All marsupial babies/juveniles are called a joey.

I realised that a platypus was but didn't think to check any others and as we didn't find any we couldn't ask.....

Guess my search for a puggle didn't turn the rght direction. Wikipedia says it's a mixed breed with a Beagle and a Pug parent.

I'm suspecting the meaning is different for our friends down under in Oz. I agree in the US it is a Beagle-Pug cross breed dog. I am personally familiar with the breed.

Funny, i live in the US and always thought a puggle was an echidna. Never heard of a beagle, pug cross, but i bet they're cute too.

Basicly, bunyip has found an amusing street sign, "Puggle Lane", but has been unable to find any actual puggles there.
So far we've established that a puggle is a baby/juvenile monoteme (echidnas and the platypus... although there is some debate as to whether baby platypus are called a puggle or, simply, a baby platypus).
All marsupial baby/juveniles are called a joey.
Apparently you can cross-breed a Beagle with a Pug to get a hybrid dog referred to as a Puggle. :confused3: I don't know if this hybrid breeds true.
By all means participate as I have no idea where this thread may lead.
[although I am amazed that 'pallets' have not been mentioned]

However, an echidna has four penises which means a surgical glove for safe ***.
