I have a lt1042 cub cadet. The blade guard came off the pto pulley and ripped the wires to the pto. One of the wires I can connect back together, but the other wire coming out of the pto is too short to reconnect, it's barely hanging out of the pto clutch. I tried to take the pulley off, but the clutch keeps turning. I don't have an air compressor or impact wrench to take it off. Does anyone have any ideas?

You may have to find someone with an impact wrench you can borrow. They do make electric wrenches as well as the air powered ones. If the wire is out far enough that you can touch it with a small soldering iron you can slip a piece of shrink tubing over a new wire and attempt to solder it to the broken one. You can then slide the shrink tubing down to the clutch coil and heat it. In the past I have cut open the covering on coils, dug out the broken wire, soldered an extension to it and taped the coil back up.
