My thinking. You buy an OEM stumper used, use it, and sell it for what you paid for it. I did it, with a Vermeer that could do a six foot stump.
Why spend money on building some rube-goldburg contraption and then try and sell it or buy something like that?

Looks to me like they had a bunch of used oilfield pipe, cylinders and valves laying around and nothing to do that winter.
