Can anyone fill me in on the pto speeds on my mitsubishi D1600II?

It has four positions and I've tried 1 and 2, but I don't want to kill my bush hog/overrun clutch.

I answered this in your other post about the over-run clutch. 1 st. gear ( on the pto lever)should be 540 pto rpm at around 2250 engine rpm

1 is the correct speed for 540 implements.
