PTO Slipping

Help!! I have a 33D with a five foot finishing mover. While I was cutting my grass it would slip out of gear when I would hit tall grass. I would watch the PTO lever walk back up as it would slip. I tried adjusting the linkage but that did not help. Anybody ever ran into something like this.

The lever is most likely bent and not going completely into gear when pushed forward. We have had this happen on a few of these. Once the lever has been straightened or replaced it works properly.
