PTO shaft question

Hey guys I'm a newbie and looking for some info. I have a 2003 NH TC21 and I just bought a 48" Hinomoto rotary tiller w/o the pto shaft. My question is what size pto shaft do I need for it to work with my tractor? Is there a certain length or diameter or anything of that sort? What can I expect to pay? Thanks in advance.

You can find some shafts at TractorSupplyCo.

Take a measurement from your tractors yolk to the Tiller yolk(now take off some so your shaft has some play room) as in size they have all sorts just if you wont a heavy duty or light.Just make sure you know what splines you have on Tiller,tractors all same. If you cant find one the right length buy longer then just cut off with chop saw....Its hard to tell what you need on Tiller end without a picture

If I were you I would hook the rotary tiller to the tractor and then measure from the tractor PTO shaft to the tiller pto shaft and then go to tractor supply the ..the PTO drive shafts come in different lengths and you may get lucky and find one without having to cut it down.. If you have to cut it down ...then do a search on this site and you will find information on that...
