PTO SHAFT ON 55HP FARMTRAC SNAPPED WHILE USING AUGER

GOOD MORNING, PLEASE HELP. BOUGHT A 2006 FARMTRAC 55HP TRACTOR. WAS SPLITTING FIREWOOD WITH AN AUGER AND THE PTO SHAFT SNAPPED. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE SHAFT CAN BE REPLACED FROM THE REAR OF THE TRACTOR AND HOW MUCH WOULD THE SHAFT COST? BLESSING SDBP

I have had mine apart plenty. You could probably remove the lever and pull the fork out. Then pull the 4 bolts from the rear and pull the PTO out. The coupler on the shaft would stay inside. Remove the broken shaft from the cover and replace the shaft and slide the coupler on from the inside. Make sure the PTO slides over the little nub on the transmission output.
