I need to replace the plastic cover / guard on my tiller's PTO shaft. Tractor Supply lists a cover for $85. Northern Tool sells an entire shaft for $90. Is there a good source for inexpensive PTO shaft covers? I was expecting to find then for a lot less. Maybe Chinese plastic has become more expensive?

PTO shaft guards are stupid money. 85$ is actually about as inexpensive as they get, unless someone has a link to an obscure retailer. if so I hope to see it here.

Not all guards attach with the same method. Be aware.

Thanks, I have ordered the Agrishield shaft cover for $28 incl shipping, and we'll see if that works.

Expensive lotto ticket, but the payout is worth it if it works out. Hopefully it can be returned if not.

The one Sysop linked is described as a series 1 shield. Series 1 drivelines are used on spinner spreaders and not a lot else. A tiller is at least a Series III if not a IV.

Hope you find what you need.

So what is the difference in Series 1 vs 3 or 4? I am looking for a cover to go on a King Kutter II 5' tiller.

The link opened in Agri Supply for me. You will not find a better company for returns, period. I bought a 3 pth flail mower years ago with being told if you do not like it bring it back, yes they took it back after cutting about 3 acres at full price. Have had smaller returns but never an issue.
