ismilelots - when you get it figured out and have used the pto driven implement a few times. Your ear will tell you when you have reached the correct rpm. Besides, as previously mentioned, unless it's a generator - a little higher or lower won't make much difference.

Thank you. I was concerned that the brush hog and tiller wouldn't work well if not at the recommended RPM. It's good to know there is some wiggle room.

I run my rotary cutter about 2 hundred Engine RPM below 540 pto speed, works fine for me.
