PTO over run clutch question

I brush hog and finishing mow... neither is that taxing if you are cutting weeds/grass. If you are cutting 1" to 2" trees, that's a whole other story.

Reviving an old topic. I am thinking about getting a brush hog, but still have the same tractor with the weak over riding cams. The tiller only ever stopped the PTO from spinning when it hit rocks, hard dirt, etcetera. Will spinning a brush hog rotary mower put any loading like that on the pto cams? I don't want to spend the money on one only to find out that I won't be able to spin it or worse, completely break the PTO.
What the heck are weak overriding cams??

I am going to play devil's advocate here and suggest that you find out what really is going on; even if it means splitting the tractor. You've had the tractor for 2 years and seem to plan on keeping it; so whatever problem you have is only going to get worse.
