PTO not working under load after hitting log

This actually a new post. I couldn't remember how to start a new one.

I have an L185 that the hydraulic arms wil go up just fine but won't go down. Is this a bleed valve problem? Has anyone experienced this?

There should be a knob that adjusts the speed of the arms desent if the valve is closed too tight the arms will not go down...most I am familiar with the know is under the seat

Yes I have tried that. Makes me think what ever that does, is broken or stopped up. Maybe a bleed valve.

Do you have a load on the arms when you try to lower them? A lot of time they will not go down with only their own weight to do it. Turn the tractor off, put the lever into the lowering position then try to push them down with your hands.

If that doesn't work, we may need a diagram of the hydraulic circuit to understand how it is plumbed to help you further.

What happened with the old post topic, the pto problem?

The original post for the PTO was a torn up internal coast clutch at the tune of $2000.00 to fix which I had done.

The 3 point hitch problem was just a rusty shaft from lack of use in humid Florida. The shop drilled a couple of holes in the housing and put penetrating oil in to loosen it up. They then threaded grease fittings in the holes for me to be able to keep it lubed better. This was only $150.00 which was much better.

Thanks to all for your posts. Hopefully I won't have any issues for a while. Oh, the shop informed me that my glow plugs aren't working so I ordered 2 yesterday.
