PTO lever/.Ford 340A --Ignition

The PTO engages sporadically when the lever is moved to the "ON" position. Must be loose connection, right? This just started to happen.

Gear must be in neutral for the tractor to start. At times, I just get a click. I can wiggle the gear shift and make the connection. Another loose connection somewhere? This has been going on for quite some time.

Suggestions?

The tractor is definitely old enough for switches to be failing but some of the connectors could be corroded, too. You could try pulling connectors and cleaning or tightening them.

OK. That was my thought as well. Just gotta find the connections... ;-)
