Lately when engaging PTO on my TC30 it grinds more then it did and seems harder to get it in. It is not really bad but seem much worse then it was. I do not want to do anything to damage it. It does not seem as bad when I engage it with nothing attached. It has about 300 hours on it.
Thanks for any help..

Sounds like you need to get it into the shop and look for some damaged gears. I'd suggest that some teeth may have broken? The fact that it does not seem "as bad" when nothing is attached sounds like it does not like the load an implement provides, but "as bad" indicates it is a problem when there is no load on it too.

It sonds like your clutch isn't disengaging all the way. Do you know if you have a single or dual clutch. Adjusting the clutch should fix the problem

The PTO stage of your clutch is not (fully) disengaging. The sliding PTO gear and its mate will fail shortly if you do not remedy this problem. Check the adjustment as specified in the operator's manual.

Make sure you are depressing the clutch when engageing the PTO. I have seen many owners just push the PTO lever to engage their PTO without clutching. Yes it will engage but grinding can and will occur.
