It reads c333025 so, since it's a live PTO what does this mean when it comes to fixing it?

Sounds like the PTO clutch is not fully releasing. Try adjusting the clutch linkage so that it has less free play.

How do I do that?

This might be stupid question. Are you pressing the clutch when engaging PTO?

You should be able to adjust the clutch pedal linkage so that there is less free play (there should be an adjustment bolt/lock nut somewhere on the linkage)- but be sure to leave a little free play or else the release bearing will wear out quickly.

There is a line that starts with 3c and the last numbers in that line is 25.

again.. you didn't read my post.

the LAST digits of 3C of the MODEL ID would indicate live pto..

sounds like you are reading a RAISED casting number.. or something OTHER than the model ID.. Perhaps the date code even..

please clarify..

that is a SERIAL NUMBER.. not a MODEL ID code...

I'm sorry, I struggle with ADHD each and every day, and it makes carrying out even the most simple task and understanding the most simple sentences very difficult. Here is the picture of what I think you needed.

top number befor ethe milled area is the model id. as I stated.. it ends with 3c.. you can easilly make out 1013c, ie.. first digit is a bit illegible.. etc.

next is date code 2c17b 1972 march 17th, B/day shift ( this means it is a post 68 machine so your model ID first digit is a 'C' if it is a 3000 model.. B if a 2000 modle. previous to 4-68 a 2/3 would have been the first digits

next is the sn..

C denotes a us modle.. and fals into the early 72 sn range as shown in this partial chart of year / starting sn

1972 C327200
1973 C367300

thanks for posting the pic. cleared up all the questions...
