PTO driven Auxiliary hydraulic pump?

What the heck is this attachment on the back? What would this be used for? Machine has a front mounted sweep...perhaps this pump set-up runs the sweep?

I would say its to run the front broom.....

It's a pto powered hydraulic pump, with it's own tank ect...

It could be used to run several different things.

Homemade platform for the hydraulic tank. Looks like it’s been adapted with a trailer hitch that comes in handy if you want to hook up a trailer & pop wheelies.

I've seen guys with front mounted snow blowers {YouTube-WranglerStar} that carry a secondary hydro tank out back off the 3pt to power a snow blower/propeller.
I, personally, would prefer that style to a front PTO driven model for fear of striking something and driving the PTO shaft inboard.
Catastrophic failure comes to mind!
