PTO & Cruise Control switches/lamps

Has anyone else thought it odd that the PTO monitor lamp is on the right side of the instrument cluster, above the cruise control rocker switch; and the cruise control monitor lamp is on the left side of the instrument cluster, above the PTO rocker switch? To me it would make more sense to put the lamp near the related switch.
