Mark, looks like a very good product. I made my own before you had yours on the market. Yours looks a lot better than mine and I would have purchased it if it was available at the time.

It is a big job replacing the plastic hydraulic fan. It is much quicker to protect it.

New buyer of a Massey 1723eb here, after 18 hours on it, a piece of rebar came up and took out my hydraulic filter. Had I been aware of the lack of protection on mine, it would have saved me much time and money. I will be putting one on mine as soon as possible.cheaper than my deductible is going to be,

Ouch, sorry to hear that. Yes, the learning curve is a bit steep with these tractors, but you got that lesson the hard way!

I don't even take mine off to change the spin on filter . . . A big pair of channel locks to loosen it, then slide it out the right side, complementary rust protection too!

Then slide it out!

I painted my "Grandpa Step"! After about 600 hours of using it, some of the red has worn off, time for a "refresher", but the original black powder coat is still holding up fine!

I do the same thing, it's a little messy so I soak up the oil with some rags before putting the new filter on.
