I am considering the purchase of a backhoe for my L5240. I currently have no rear remotes. Just curious about these two options and which might be best considering my tractor and current set-up.

Thanks

I have a 5240 with the bh92 and two rear remotes. The hydraulic connection for the hoe is much bigger than the remotes. The bh92 is very easy to put on or off and seems to be very strong (I haven't used it that much yet).

at one point woods had a leg up on Kubota, now.. I think thats gone. I'd proably go with the OEM hoe.

Can't comment on the Kubota BH 92.
I have a Woods BH90X and it is very easy to put on and remove and does everything one could ask from it. The thumb, manual or hydraulic, is worthwhile as well. If the Kubota doesn't have the thumb that might be a factor. Look at the specs and compare each against the other.

Kubota, better ground clearance.
Higher hinge point closer to the tractor.
Built for the tractor, by the same people who designed the tractor.
